Wow,it's almost September. Where has the time gone? But I do love this time of year,especially October,my favorite month. I find out Tuesday if I can walk without my walker and don't need my wheelchair. I'm so glad. Being cooped up in the house,not being able to drive....It's driving us both crazy. It takes me 15 minutes just to get the mail. I'll never take walking or driving for granted again

I am looking for a good GPS to take walking, preferably with a map display 1:50k or 1:25k. Is there such a device and are those scale maps available? i only have experience of satnav in the car - good yes but no background details off road and also the display suffers in sun as its 'shiny'. Maybe I would be better off with a good map and a GPS that just gives me co-ordinates? A good battery
