calf cramps - anyone ever use a calf sleeve?

Hello, Has anyone used a "turf sleeve" like the one pictured below to reduce calf cramps? I get them at about mile 10 on the bike after the run portion (of biathlons). Stretching, hydrating, potassium consumption, and lowering the seat does help, but not entirely. Perhaps this calf sleeve could keep the calves warm the muscle flexible, though I don't know the physiology of a ...
