I just heard Andrew Neil on This Week (a UK TV programme) use the word fissiparious (note the letter i included to get the pronunciation he used). His guest agreed and, I think, pronounced it the same way but when I looked it up it seems to omit the letter i that he used. So I presume the word is fissiparous and is pronounced that way. Is that right? This source pronounces it as it is spelled
