After 20+ years of getting very satisfactory service from my trusty Ruger 10/22, I FINALLY succumbed to the lure of the aftermarket. I picked out a nice blued, fluted Green Mountain 16" bull barrel and a really cool Fajen adjustable stock (cheek height, length of pull, butt plate up/down/rotation.) I did a lot of reading on the various rimfire forums and websites and came to the conclusion
