Thanks you two for the informative posts... This was a system I took over, so I don't know if any "rogue" codecs are installed. I went back to just the Intervideo MPEG2 (as shown by DecCHeck) and I still have a video lag on MPEG2's & DIVX with WMP. Funnily enough, when using their proprietary players respectively, the video plays fine. Could it have anything to do with "DirectShow"

Because home premium and ultimate come with DVD decoders, yet you've listed about 3 manufacturers there, and only one set of those can be in use at a time.
