Hi I started with a drum machine. Then I moved onto a realtime performer - this would read MIDI chords and play styles. You could also put MIDI disks in and play them back (Roland RA-800 - one for sale now on this site). Finally I decided to use a laptop. I found using the laptop in conjunction with VanBasco karaoke player (free software on line). With this software you can make lists
