From a time/trouble/effort pov, and risk, you are probably already more in the red than if you just buy a $500 "beater" to get through the next few months, 'til you figger out what to do ito of replacement car, engine, etc. Even if you could get this thing running, one in-opportune breakdown could up the ante even more.
