The consensus for the past few years in this newsgroup have suggested that synthetic was the way to go. I would definitely like to see what some 2003+ engines look like on dino oil following the new Maintenance Minder schedule which can be between 5-7k miles. Suppose the new car was sitting on the lot for 6 months before being sold. During such time it picked up a couple hundred miles for test drives. How long to wait for an oil change in that case? There can't be too much maintenance, outside of regular oil changes, for those first 36.000 miles ... or do I stand corrected? Again, I'm referencing
