The error means you are trying to pass a guid to the system that isn't actually a guid. You are getting close, but we are not quite there yet. You don't need a column set because you are not retrieving the data from CRM; it's already accessible in the postImageEntityXml. To retrieve the value from the entityxml, you first have to put the xml into a dom, then retrieve the innertext of

Thanks Richard for the tip. Could I ask you for more detail help? I have changed the callout, but am now getting a different error on the server event log. Hopefully, this is getting closer to the correct way. Since this is a callout, you can get the responsiblecontactid from the postImageEntityXml, but you have to make sure you include the repsonsiblecontactid field in you callout.config.xml file. You don't have to retrieve the reponsible contact's email address, CRM knows how to do that. For the sendEmail evaluation, it's the same thing: retrieve evaluationfield from postImageEntityXml.

Hello, I'm not a programmer and am trying to adapt an example that I found on the 'net to perform a task that I want to have automated in CRM. Could anyone please help by looking at my code? I started by using an example by Harjit Singh Gill that sends an email to the manager of a sales person (who is the owner of the opportunity) whenever there is an update on the opportunity instance
