What was I thinking---that I would be out on the cold and windy, DARK decks all night peering into the equally dark sea?? LOL Of COURSE we'll enjoy the promenade! Lindsay, I've gotta agree with Warren as far as the food. I think they're both about equal. I definitely think Princess food has declined a bit... while RCI tends to do better on Voyager class ships than on the others, since Voyager ships get higher per diems. So I wouldn't use food as a decision factor. And I also agree as far as entertainment... I love the promenade, and how it works

I currently have my first RCI cruise booked for early April of 2009. Mariner of the Seas out of LA to Mexico. Excited about trying a Voyager class ship....to a point. I'm not liking what I'm hearing about RCI's food for one thing. And, I'm beginning to wonder if I really will get a thrill out of the perks such as ice skating rink and promenade. WILL I? I'm sure my teenage daughter will enjoy it
