siigmeen , Well you reference a macro variable with an & not a %%. %% is for a macro definition. Aside from that your macro code is a bit messy and looks confused. So if you want send us a short explainantion of what you want the macro to do and I bet we can rewrite it for you to be a bit cleaner and efficient. Toby Dunn "Don't bail. Bob M, thanks for your explainantion, although I already knew about this classification . when trains travel over 300 km per hour , the train going over 300 km/ hour is not safe for travelling passengers , except when you are in a Maglev . Toby, thanks. I've seen 'cards' but wasn't sure how it applied in my case since I am reading in a csv file via "infile". I wasn't sure if this would work in my case as well. Also, I had never seen the =: operator. Again, thanks for breaking it down. Have a good Memorial Day. The "cards" section tells SAS that data to be read in is coming. I would look it up in th eonline docs for a more thrurough explainantion. As for the UPcase logic: time = time + (upcase(ampm)=:'P')*12*60*60 ; Breaking this down: Time = <<<---- variable to be created time <----- Numeric varaiable that is in SAS time format which is the number of second from January 1 1960. +

Heres the real scoop. (and btw- why all the sudden all the haters here? I thought this was a board for nice pro-saturn ppl) The SKY was first conceived in '04 in the Frankfurt Auto Show as a concept car. GM's Rick Wagoner fell in love with it and talked the designers to bring the car into production. At the time, Saturn was also showing a concept car called the Curve (which never made to production
