Unfortunately the Roxio Plugin isn't available as a standalone download, however you can still download and re-install WMP 9. Here's a link to the location: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/player/9series/default.aspx During the download, save the installation file to your desktop. You may need to run the setup twice because there's special code that when run the first

Thanks for the reply. I'm running w2000SP4. Am I supposed to have built in burning capability? If so, why do you think I've lost it. Roxio Burning Plugin does not show up in the Add/Remove Programs applet. Hope you have some more ideas, Dan Hacker "Mike Poz [MSFT]" <MikePozMSFT@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:A11980F4-63D2-478F-9482-7EA6231B6786@microsoft.com...

Hi Dan, Actually the Roxio burning plugin was intended for WMP 7 on Windows 98SE and indows ME, Windows NT 4 and Windows 2000 as the player back on those operating systems then didn't have built in burning capability. Are you running on one of those older versions of Windows? If not, if you're using Windows XP then you don't need it and just need to select Audio CD in the dropdown over

I cut one CD just fine with Windows Media Player 9. However, several days later (and perhaps a few tweaks later) WMP9 wouldn't work. I select a playlist, see that Roxio CD Burning is selected, hit the red copy button, and I get an error message. "The Easy CD Creator burning Engine was not found on your system. Would you like to download and install it." If I chose OK, I go to Roxio's website
