I would agree that you have narrowed down the problem to a DVD/CD burner that is not burning audio tracks correctly for some reason, possibly a design defect or oversight. I can't even figure out the manufacturer of the device in your HP. Replace it with a respected brand. LiteOn, Sony, NEC, Samsung, Toshiba (now joint vebture with Samsung for optical drives) are all OK in my experience. None
Muh, Hear-o! Say, Mike, are you married...........uh, forget I said that. Your web-site did the trick. But how in the world did you find it? I kept playing around, and playing around on the Nero site and never could get to the plug-ins without going back to your original link. BTW, this is not the plug-in that I lost. But it burns CD's for any player, and that is exactly what I wanted

It was removed from WMPlugins.com because it only applies to WMP 9 but people keep installing it on WMP 10 and WMP 11 systems and it causes hangs and crashes in those versions of WMP because of how the plugin hooks into the player. You can find it here, it's the top one in the list of downloads: http://www.nero.com/eng/wmp-plugin.php -- Thanks! Mike Poz [MSFT] ------------------
I know it's normally not polite to cross post, but I'll make an exception in this case. Again thanks, Dan "David Webb" <dwebb211@earthling.net> wrote in message news:uuVht70qHHA.1204@TK2MSFTNGP04.phx.gbl... You're welcome...and thanks for the feedback. As noted in my previous reply, I had many hits from various Google searches for the Nero plug-in but all of the links came up
