Two weeks ago I switched from a Samsung i730 PDA/phone running Windows Mobility 5 to an iPhone 3G. While I'm generally happy with the iPhone, there is some software I miss from the Windows-based Samsung, and there is some other software the Samsung didn't have that I still want. Our French doctors function differently. When I enter the doctor's office he first asked me for my "Carte Vitale", which has a microchip on it. He puts that in his machine and interviews me while typing in response, and also enters the results of the exam (blood pressure etc). My records on his computer are such that he can run off a copy of my lifetime medical problems and give them

Most of this is just common sense. I never understood why everytime I go to the doctor they have to keep asking me the same frikkin questions. What drugs I take, what I am allergic to, etc etc.... The whole time they have their chart right in front of their face. They say in this article that the reason for the problem is because of the enormous amounts of paperwork and things getting lost
