SEE: Rosetta Stone The miracle I was refering to is the brain's potential ability to *automatically* apply diachronic (across time) rules allowing you to understand an intermediary language like Italian if you know Latin and Spanish. Perhaps a better analogy would be understanding ancient Italian if you know Latin and Modern Italian....
