I was also confused by the OnToolTipNotify in the CEdit derived class! The reason it's not working doesn't mean that there is something missing from the implementation of CDerivedEdit. It mean that you may be doing something in CDerivedEdit that is causing the problem. Have you tried commenting out everything in CDerivedEdit to see what happens? If I was to guess, (that is what all of

I see your class declaration but what's going on in the implementation? How is your OnToolTipNotify() method getting called? From a Vista Distribution CD, which has a bootable WinPE with Setup already in it, you can provide a external file called autounattend.xml. See the Windows AIK chm for more on how to use one. For booting off a custom WinPE and running setup on a cmd line, you have to have the setup files available, and use the right cmd line. Here is an extract from the Windows AIK chm. Basically

Im just about clear, but when you say "specify the unattend.xml on the setup.exe cmd line" From what I read , i boot off vista cd, with unattend.xml on a floppy or usb flash drive and the setup will pull it and use it. But is there a way in WinPE to simply run the setup.exe and use a switch to pull the unattend.xml? thanks again for all your help! "Mike Lewis (MS)" wrote: Setup

Setup only supports a sysprep'd image now. The process you describve is what BDD is already doing except that there is no need to mount and inject the uanttend.xml into the WIM, instead you specify the unattend.xml on the setup.exe cmd line. You would still neeed to handle patches, languages (if used) and drivers as needed. "KhShanus" <KhShanus@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message
