If I set the Defalt value of the text box to a function =DefValue(60) Public Function DefValue(v As Variant) DefValue = Deft(v) 'Deft(60) is a Public Variable with an array End Function then it works just fine as you suggested but it sort of deafeats the object of having a public variable if you have to use a function to get at it. = Deft(60) does not seem to work and so I guess

I am searching in a Loop through multiple lines of data and looking for conditions. There are at least 3 possible conditions for my fist pass through. 1. Search finds "defeated" 2.
