Thanks, that was helpful. The kitten got adopted on Wednesday but I am in close contact with her new "owner". He is fully aware of what she's been through and that he needs to get her potassium level checked again. I wish I could have kept her longer so I could have seen her through this, but I was only her foster mom and I have no say in when they leave me. Today (Sunday) the adopter said

Hi. I didn't realize newsgroups were full of people who are bored and just waiting for opportunities to post moronic remarks. I have been watching those sites and have contacted plenty of people.
