I am trying to troubleshoot a slow boot on Dell Latitude D410, WinXP SP2, NIS 2007. Using task manager to watch the processes on boot, I see two wuauclt.exe, and six svchost.exe (one of which is taking 90+%% of CPU at times). Is this normal? The boot completes afetr about 5 or six minutes.
