Abyss, As some one pointed out, Dolly Parton is really more modern than this group covers. Different types of country music include Old Time Country, (what this group is about) Bluegrass, Country & Western, and Western Swing. The first two are strictly acoustic (maybe an occasional electric bass in bluegrass) and the latter two often feature electric instruments in addition to acoustic ones
