Here's a work around if that doesn't work and a follow up question in regards to the work around: I had the same problem via VPN but found a work around because \\servername in the run command wasn't able to work through vpn, but \\ipaddress was able to work fine, where the IP was the internal network ip address of the server. My follow up question is how to get the server to start a name

First on the Server using Regedit Find "IsDomainMaster" Change to "TRUE" (This will help with network browsing.) You can try afterwards to BROWSE in network to find the server You may have to wait 15mins after the connect for it to see the devices on the network. However If you type \\ServerName\ in the RUN Command line It should bring up the Shares on that server. Russ --

We have a 25 user SBS Premium installation. I Can remote desktop into the server as an administrator to work on the server. RWW is working fine to connect to client computers. My question is this. I was referring to the manual connection. If you can't connect with a manual connection, then something is badly wrong. I have had to use the "1" since 2000. except for my exchange. You should try the manual connection again. I posted the directions in another group. If you want, I could post them again.
