i went through the steps several times but it never woked. So i tryed to put it in when media center asked DO YOU HAVE A REMOTE i put no and went through the codes and it worked so THANK GOD I FIXED IT but thank you anyway for your help "Barb Bowman" wrote: Did you go back through TV Setup? Just to clarify (and it may just be incorrect wording on your part), you hook up the IR Receiver to the Media Center PC, not to the Cable Box. The receiver is plugged into the PC, the small IR emitter (blaster/bug/whatever) gets plugged into the receiver, and business end of the emitter is attached to your cable box in front of the sensor window. You will receive the Media Center guide after you specify your zipcode and provider, not the guide in your set top box. You will not be able to use On Demand. I have a question. when you connect the IR Receiver to the Cable Top Box, Do you still get the providers TV Guide on your Media Center? or everything works like normal with Media Center? thanks... I have had my Samsung 5052 for 10 months now and has worked well. Now I have a problem. Sometimes, I will turn on the TV and have no sound. When this happens I also have no sound to my dvd player or my VHS player. I also have a Comcast cable box for digital HD. Am I safe to assume that because I have no sound when playing my dvd or VHS player that the "problem is with the TV" and not
