I'm just about done reading J. Craig Venter's autobiography, "A Life Decoded" (Penguin Books, London, 2007) I'm not a big fan of autobiographies. You can never be sure what's objective in them, so you need to read them with a grain or two of salt, but having said that, Venter's story is worth reading if only for the education you get about genomes.
