... it is Ardbeg. Read here in Dutch. "De Smokehead Single Islay malt whisky is eind april door Ian Macleod Distillers Ltd. op de markt gebracht. Het is een Islay Single malt whisky van de Ardbeg distilleerderij." Iain Macleod brought it on the market. Its an Islay Single Malt from the Ardbeg Destillery. ... the turn now after years of liking heavily peated drams as favourite. I now look for subtle drams. A little bit of this and a little bit of that. Not too much of a good thing. More balance I am chasing now. Unless of course its Ardbeg Arry Nam Beisht (sp). Whic is indeed much of a good thing, but so good. I just got given a bottle of Jura Superstition. I was never so keen on Jura, but I took an instant liking to this expression. Anyone had it? Anyone like it? Peace, Jock -- To reply, remove underwear http://www.step-we-ceilidh.nl

...charming. Weird. Glen Grant isn't far away, and the walk from the car park is via a woodland path. Quite lovely. Sadly the shop is a bit bare-bones. Jim Yes Jim you are right. ... I have tasted by any means, but decent enough. Was bottled at Cask Strength. Nice clean dram for those that like that sort of thing. The tour wasnt up to much though. Same old story, except no humour to go with it. There was a barrel open with some dregs in it that we were allowed to sniff. I liked that. ... Lagavulin 1990/2006 Distillers Edition, and I liked it just as much as the standard 16 yo. The peat was typically "lagavulinish", and in addition the sherry was noticable with dried fruit and more sweetness. I thought it worked swell together :^) Gunnar All of the above is exactly my opinion. Peace, Jock -- To reply, remove underwear http://www.step-we-ceilidh.nl

... like Caol Ila and Ardbeg are so peated, you taste the smoke less. Then Andrew Symingtons new double peated Benriach is very peaty. I tasted it at Whisky Live, but didnt really take to it. I tasted it again two weeks ago during my whisky tour at Edradour. Its just peat for peat's sake. No pun intended. Peace, Jock -- To reply, remove underwear http://www.step-we-ceilidh.nl
