I've read all posts in response to my question and I've learned quite a bit. 1.) The firmewares like tomato etc aren't for someone like me with an older linksys router... mine isn't in the supported list of routers so they aren't an option. The BBmonitor or whatever wasn't an option either. It added the network traffic from simply transferring a file from computer A to computer B to the stats
