...? probably because of the fatigue characteristics of 6061. although chris heintz uses the stuff for hinges on one of his designs, he makes the upper aileron skin flex as the hinge, so go figure. I do wish that whitney would get himself a decent stylist. he designs some of the most butt ugly aircraft in history. the boomerang's cockpit area looks positively soviet. Stealth Pilot

Well, the 'rang was designed to balance lift and gyroscopic forces against a headwind and a 1-gee downward pull. Absent that, in microgravity, I would assume the best the boomerang could do is a kind of looping flip-flop, but more likely just a wildly precessing corkscrew path until it hits a wall.
