There's no chance of a lawsuit most likely. By the time they actually got it in court, the season would be over. That area is farm community. I hear they have a Wal-Mart now. But back when I was there, the biggest stores/places they had were Ace Hardware, a McDonald's and a furniture store. There were only a dozen places total to go! Thats no reason at all. That fact is that anyone can sue anyone at anytime for any reason. (Of course that doesn't mean they will win.) If the student, with his/her parents, decides to play ball then they should have the ability to do so. (and by agreeing to play you accept the risks.)
