My favorite common mistake is working with a ReSound and forgetting to look to see whether it takes the 3 electrode filament or the 4 electrode filament. I've wasted a lot of time trying to get a powered aid working with a non-powered strip. Grrrrrrrrr! I gave up with Oticon when they developed the over-the-shoulder programming harness. I could never get the wires to work without putting them

The cable thing is a problem, today I had problems reading an aid until I remembered that I was supposed to use the orange little connector rather than the purple little connector. Good thing too, otherwise, I might still be trying to get that aid to read. :-) The Hi-pro boxes I have are connected to the computer through the com port - It's doubtful that any new computers will come with
