Actually, it depends on where you live in Mexico. My parents have friends in the city of Ajijic, Mexico, and in that city, the population is 45%% American and Canadian. It's like a little U.S. (kind of like living on a military base overseas, I would imagine) within Mexico. My parents friends don't speak Spanish, and they get along just fine. I prefer to speak to folks in whatever language they

You'd have to learn their language... to survive. Gringos (coming to live there) are less welcome there than illegal immigrants here. Do you think the Mexican government would provide the dole? Maybe we could start out trying to teach them blues songs for their initiation in the English language. Granted there's slang and period specific lingo, but it'd be a start..... Blues is a universal

Hey, I got a great idea, Joe! How about the "growing number of Hispanics in Southern California" learn English? After all, it is the official language of the U. S. federal and state governments. It's the common language to which U.S. citizens (and non citizens) have chosen to communicate with each another. * *mike ps, if I were to move to Mexico I would definitely learn their language **

This is like that old Certs commercial where the twins argue "Certs is a breath mint." ..."No, Certs is a candy mint." Its about both, Okay, you could argue that it started minus the music as a "field holler" but someone will point out that the musical form had its roots in Africa and came over with those same "field holler" slaves. Its both. And I mean blues can get along without

I think the blues is great in any language. I sing the blues in English and Spanish -- it helps reach a wider audience, and definitely speaks to the growing number of Hispanics in Southern California. We even include a page in Spanish on our website. People need to understand what your singing about, and some other languages can also give a different feel to the music. Setting a video camera up behind the drummer to film the whole night of dance floor shenanigans can be quite a bit of fun...embarrassing for some, too... Absolutely! Jena, Louisiana is dirty, dirty, dirty, and there's no other way to paint it looking at all the facts. Right now, there are folks in Little Rock, Arkansas trying to re-write history, claiming that a small minority of the kids actually harassed the Little Rock Nine -- that's not how the Little Rock Nine remember it: http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2007/10/01/us/20071001_LITTLEROCK_GRAPHIC
