I don't really much of an opinion on Q2 other than many people like the Logitech Harmony remotes, most have the MC codes built in and can control about anything. Software is kind of flakey to figure out (it's all done online), but once you get the remote set up, it works well. Logitech makes various remotes from ~$40 - several hundred dollars, many times if you are patient they can be found
With all Dish is fixing to do with HD programming and other stuff with HD is the VIP 622 receiver compatible or do I have to upgrade my equipment? I have 2 VIP 622's with one dish 500 pointed to 110 and 119 and a single dish at 61.5. all hooked to a DP34 switch. Do I need to upgrade any thing to get the new stuff comming out? ( channels, software, features) Both of my VIP 622's are running
