Cheryl You pasted the same code three times below with diffrenet explanation, unless I keep looking at it not seeing it. Can you check and give me little explanation what you mean. EW puts this codes automatically and updating keywords for asp pages from master should work so not sure exactly what you suggest I do. I posted two sample code that EW generated earlier. Thank you for your reply. Actually, once I enter keywords and page descriptions in the code section of a aspx page created from a master page, it shows up when you open the aspx page at design view page properties That point on, if you change the keywords, description it updates normally. And the title always updates. Problem is keywords and description. Below is how I got it work it

That's correct behavior. The master page itself defines the keywords and descriptions. The pages that inherit from the master only alter the asp.net content regions. To alter the meta tags when the page is served would require some additional coding in the server-side onload event of the page. Keep in mind though, the keyword and description meta tags are virtually useless nowadays since
