Okay, we've established that the OP really shouldn't do this. But if, for some reason, he still needs to or wants to, if the acoustic-electric doesn't have its own preamp system but just a passive pickup, the most important thing you can to is to run the pickup through a good preamp designed expressly for the purpose, which means it has a very high input impedance. That will minimize loading on

Hi, everybody. As sinful as it may be to many of you, I would like to record my friend's acoustic/electric straight to my mixer. No mics. I do this out of necessity... we will be recording live, and I need zero bleed through from the drums. Although I realize that this is -not- the best method to record an acoustic guitar, I was hoping I could get some tips for improving the sound. EQ, effects
