As for Peterson I don't think he looks nearly as good as he did pre achillies injury days. He overcommits on plays, and while he still looks to have that speed burst, it doesn't seem to be there all the time to make up for his mistakes. I don't think he's worth the $$$$...

Merriman on the other hand got time to rest his achillis and will have fresh legs. Anybody. For the first time since I can remember, I'm looking at the entire league and there's not one team out there that puts fear into me for this...

I was also thinking that since our bye was so early that if we can get a bye in the PO's it would be huge. This team is really banged up and could use an extra week to get healthy. Merriman on the other hand got time to rest his achillis and will have fresh legs.

A torn achillis can completely kill his future. <snip> Getting along towards gametime now, all indications are he's not going to. (sit it out.) aside - yeah, what a shock, he played half the season w/a pin in his wrist last year. You speaking from first-hand experience, Rene?...

He was limping after practice but said he has experienced the tendinitis before and will play Sunday night against Pittsburgh. <snip><end> Hope he plays. If there is any risk of him tearing it, I would rather he sit this out. A torn achillis can completely kill his future.
