New scoots or not, or or thems with extended warrantys may be interested in this. Sunday morning before I left to go to the IRL at La Grange (that's the one I didn't attend they say) I went to close the 'adjustable' vent on the right lower and noticed it would open/close w/ no resistance. Moved it back and forth a few times, the turn knob dropped down and a few pieces of plastic fell
