...linuxemu can run Opera, I would imagine you can use it to run Gimp too, with some work. If you want an imap client, you could compile the p9p upas/fs which can easily handle large remote IMAP mailboxes. speaking of which, did Cinap's fixes for the gs segment make it in so we have thread local storage ...

Hi, I noticed that upas/fs will load all messages into memory on startup. Since this will take forever with a couple thousand messages in my mailboxes I wondered wether I am the only one with that issue. Uriel mentioned that p9p's upas/fs could have a fix on that issue. pedantic note. the search file is a p9p-only thing. it is not available on the plan 9 upas/fs. - erik The search file is unused (but implemented). The idea is you write a search string and read back a list of message ids. The ctl file allows bulk deletion - you write delete 1 2 3 4 5 and it deletes the messages with those ids. Russ
