I'm new to filter design, but have been asked to design a notch FIR filter that blocks 5khz to 8khz. Spec is: Sampling Frequency: 48kHz Passband attenuation: 0.3dB Stopband attenuation: -0.3dB I have designed filter using FDATool as follows: Response Type: Bandstop Design Method: FIR Equiripple Order: Minimum fs: 48000Hz Fpass1: 4500Hz Fstop1: 5000Hz Fstop2: 8000Hz Fpass2: 8500Hz
