Dear Warren, It may be a little late for this info, but the daily max on Ibuprophen is 2400mgs. You can use more acetaminophen (4000mg daily max) but both are wonderfully effective organ destroying medications, not even taking cardiac issues in to account. Amityptiline (Elavil) is a trycillic anti depressant that they love to use as a first line non narcotic pain measure. It will help

Dear Velcro, Not having it, it's kind of hard for me to call (also not being a doctor) but you could have Fibromyalgia. You didn't give your age, but it sounds like you could be in the prime demographic for it. An MRI isn't going to show much either if that's the case. A fast websearch should pull up more info than you can possibly use, or someone can reccomend a site to you. Keep an open

Dear Iwanta, You got me a little confused. MScontin (actually all the "contins") is a long acting med, not something you'd use for BT pain. Same with all the ER's and XR's. Sometimes they toss an IR on the tail end of a medication name to indicate it's instant release and suitable for BT pain. I think you probably know that, but I have to point it out just in case. To expect a quick extra

Dear Money, I thought so. It looked like it from the ending. The bital was the give away. I hope the OP comes down here. I'm going to suggest something that may help him with his fog as well as the pain. Provigil is a medication he should look in to. It's Rx'ed a lot to help people cut through the medication fuzziness than can often accompany medications like these. Never had the need

Dear rog, You shouldn't try to do this one on your own, nor do it quickly. It's not the tylenol, nor the codeine, but the butalbital. I can't recall off the top of my head which family the butalbital lives in, pretty sure it's the barbiturate family, not the benzodiazipines, but with both families, too fast a taper and going in to withdrawals can actually kill you. Seizures, the whole
