Look at each series' formula: when you select a series and look in the formula bar, you'll see something like this: =SERIES(Sheet1!$B$1,Sheet1!$A$2:$A$10,Sheet1!$B$2:$B$10,1) The last argument, 1 in the above, is the plot order of the series. If all the series are the same type and on the same axis (primary vs. secondary) this dictates the order in which they are plotted in the chart and
