However we are having problems intermittently when receiving faxes. I have attached a sample from ActivityLog\InboxLog to demonstrate errors and one error log from the incoming queue. We have a U.S. Robotics 56K V.92 internal fax modem (MX12146),

Hello Ken, Thank you for posting here. Let's thank Andrew for the input. According to your description, I understand that you unable to receive fax thru your USR3453 modem. If I have misunderstood the problem, please don't hesitate to let me know. Based on my research, USR3453 modem is not in Windows server HCL list. As this device is not on the HCL list, the compatibility of this

Robert, Do you have a different HCL than I do? I cannot find any of these modems you mention in the HCL that I am looking at http://www.windowsservercatalog.com/results.aspx?&bCatID=1459&cpID=0&ocID=0&OR=1. Robert, Why do you keep sending these nosensical messages. Please simply address the questions! You have still not provided any examples of an External Fax/Modem that would satisfy your requirement of being on the SBS2003 HCL, which modem do you suggest? You have also still failed to address Greggs's questions. Nick "Robert Li [MSFT]" <v-robeli@online.microsoft.com> wrote in

Nick, Look at these http://multitech.com/PRODUCTS/Categories/Device_Networking/external_modems/ to satisfy their requirement of being on the 2003 list. We know it is most likely not hardware (duh), but if you want help, they will force you to use one on the list. MultiTech is a great brand, but sometimes has problems receiving from USR modems, so be careful how you do your testing.

Nick, The only way they are even going to begin supporting you is if you use a modem listed in the HCL. So you will need to buy one of those, install it, have it not work, then ask again for help. Yes, Robert has once again ignored my question. The Windows Server Catalog of Tested Products is a HORRIBLE reference, as it cannot be searched for products that specifically work on Server
