If you regsvr32 wmp.dll, you will absolutely cause this exact issue that you describe. Oddly I have recently had (VISTA 32) the exact same problem, in the same order, namely: 1. When I tried to Play wmv files in my kids website links, they just gave me the The "page not found" message from IE7. The files are definitely there, I ftp'd them up myself. 2. I (sorry, I was too quick before the follow-up) ALSO registered regsvr32 wmp.dll froma cmd prompt. That at least brought me
