Thanks for the thoughtful response. As I indicated in my posting, I understood that you can solve this problem by choosing a standard paper size and manipulating the margins. But this seems a little artificial, and seems like more of a kluge than a solution. I tried to outline some of the reasoning behind wanting to set the paper size. All other Office software allows you to set the paper

Why use any code at all??? For envelops, or labels, simply design your report >Control Panel -> Printers -> Select Printer -> Printer Preference > -> Paper Options -> Custom Golly, that is not even part of ms-access here.
